Tut Tuesday: DIY Dipped Neon Pots

You guys, I’ve never been a huge fan of pink. But HOT PINK? I can get on board with that. These pots were so fun and ridiculously easy to make. Read on to learn how to make your own.

You’ll need:

  • brown pot (mine are from IKEA and cost $1.99)
  • painter’s tape
  • Neon Pink fluorescent spray paint (found at Home Depot)

Start off by wrapping the tape around your pot at your desired height. I split mine in half so it would be pink on bottom and natural on top. After you have taped, paint the bottom of the pot with light, short bursts of paint. Hold the can far enough away to avoid paint drips. After about 3 coats, let ‘er dry.

Done! So simple, right? And adding a Succulent or two never hurt anyone. These really pop and look great as centerpieces. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen bits and pieces of the neon glory that is currently my life. There’s more in the works so just you wait…

**Happy Tuesday**

Update: if you love these bright neon pots, than you’ll LOVE these bright wooden fruit cups!

    • Lexy says:

Thanks, Jess! That’s EXACTLY why I used succulents. They’re the only plant that can survive around me. The snow should be gone soon and then I want to see your succulent success!

  5. Succulents have always been my favorite plant…and when someone asks me what my favorite flower is, I always say “succulents” with a smirk. But this combination floors me! Genius. So so so pretty. I’m gonna have to try it.

    • Lexy says:

Thanks, girl. Succulents are one of my faves, too. They’re so gorgeous and SO different. I loved the hint of pink they had to offer. They pair well with the neon pink paint. So well it hurts.
